Optocouplers Behavior Analysis on Neutron Displacement Damage
A. Romero Maestre1, J. De Martin Hernandez1, P. Martin Holgado1, A. Ricca-Soaje2, A. Colangeli3, M. Dominguez2, Y. Morilla1
1. CNA (Spain), 2. ALTER Technology (Spain), 3. ENEA FNG (Italy)
In this work, the degradation on a series of selected optocouplers is evaluated under neutron displacement damage (DD) testing. New experimental data have been statistically analyzed using the PRECEDER methodology.
DW-13
Effects of Proton Energy on Optocoupler Displacement Damage Tests
P. Martin Holgado1, A. Romero Maestre1, J. De Martin Hernandez1, A. Rodriguez Prieto2, A. Ricca-Soaje2, M. Dominguez2, Y. Morilla1
1. CNA (Spain), 2. ALTER Technology (Spain)
This article presents the degradation data collected from five optocouplers during proton displacement damage tests performed at three proton energies within 15-190 MeV. In most cases, the intermediate proton energy is the worst test condition.
DW-15
Low-Energy Proton Displacement Damage on Optocouplers at CNA
P. Martin Holgado1, A. Romero Maestre1, J. De Martin Hernandez1, A. Rodríguez Prieto2, A. Ricca-Soaje2, M. Dominguez2, Y. Morilla1
1. CNA (Spain), 2. ALTER Technology (Spain)
This research explores the impact of low-energy proton displacement damage on five optocouplers used in space applications, employing the cyclotron accelerator at the Centro Nacional de Aceleradores for the first time within this group.
DW-23
Upgrading optocoupler experimental data on DD neutron radiation testing
A. Romero Maestre1, P. Martin Holgado1, J. De Martin Hernandez1, A. Ricca2, A. Rodriguez2, A. Colangeli3, M. Dominguez2, Y. Morilla1
1. CNA (Spain), 2. ALTER Technology (Spain), 3. ENEA FNG (Italy)
We present a compendium of data obtained from the neutron Displacement Damage (DD) test campaigns on 27 different optocouplers. These experimental data will be used to analyse the degradation of the most sensitive parameters.

Evaluation and Mitigation of Backscattering in a Co-60 Gamma Radiation Facility
P. Martin Holgado1, A. Romero Maestre1, J. De Martín Hernández1, Y. Morilla1
1. CNA (Spain)
This paper presents the test method used to evaluate backscattering in TID tests for space electronics, comparing theoretical and experimental dose-depth curves. It is shown how the ad hoc lead-aluminum filter box mitigates backscattering.
