After years of collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) and payload equipment manufacturers, we have successfully concluded the procurement of the PLATO satellite.
After years of collaboration with the ESA and payload equipment manufacturers, we played a crucial role in the PLATO project. We coordinated the selection of technologies, procurement of qualified and COTS components, critical components, and all the associated tests required to ensure compliance with mission requirements.
PLATO's mission is ambitious but fundamental to our understanding of the universe. Using an array of high-precision cameras, PLATO will scan large areas of the sky for small dips in the brightness of stars, telltale signs that a planet is orbiting around them. In addition to detecting exoplanets, PLATO will also make precise measurements of the host stars, providing crucial information about their size, mass, and age.
