Holger Krumme and Fabian Zentner were on site at this year's #ESCCON2023 in Toulouse. The event was hosted by the European Space Agency - ESA.
The ESCCON 2023 is an international forum bringing together professionals involved in the development, selection, procurement and use of EEE components (electrical, electronic and electromechanical components) in space systems. In addition to interesting presentations and discussions, this event facilitates an exchange of ideas and experiences - especially with colleagues from ALTER Spain as well as ALTER France and ALTER UK.
Our colleague Gunter Mößinger (Head of Department Energization / R&D) gave a fascinating presentation on the topic "Long term availability: Supporting decision making for strategic component storage" at the 1st quarterly meeting of the COGD (Component Obsolescence Group Germany). COGD is an industrial interest group in which like-minded people deal with the topic of obsolescence management. Their aim is to minimize the consequences of component unavailability in products or to prevent this eventuality entirely.
